A letter posted in the Economist from California suggested that Britain could best survive Brexit by becoming the eleventh province of Canada. Thus it could join NAFTA instead.
Not out of the question. There is already the common language, head of state, and it wouldn't even have to change its flag.

On a different note, just while I'm here, here's a story about the sort of thing folks deny exists in Islam but are of course wrong because that sort of diversity exists in every religion, just in varying amounts (the best thing to do in my sight with religions is not to ban them, because that never ever works, but to encourage the better streaks and condemn the negative ones. We do a fairly poor job at both).

I've always figured that people will do what they will, regardless. Religion proves the pretext. Education, security and freedom - by which I mean the ability to make life-choices without compunction - often facilitates a humane approach to life, including religion. Whereas the opposites. . .
